Name: Abed Nadir
Fandom: Community
History or Personality: Abed loves movies and television. In fact he loves it so much that he pretty much lives in one. He is a pop culture reference in himself really. Anything that happens, he can compare it to some other part of a show or a movie. He can quote it or reference it. Abed lives a bit in his own little world and doesn't really get the little nuances of being a 'normal' guy. Sometimes he plays roles if the situation calls for it, and in that instance, he can act as normal as the next guy. But when he thinks the scene is over, he's just back to being Abed. He stares a bit too long, doesn't understand when people want him to stop living in a movie and start living in the real world. There are things that go entirely over his head, or perhaps he just doesn't care. It's hard to tell, because Abed is really focused. He wants to make movies and so he sometimes runs around with a camera in his hands.
He can be on the naive side. Like for instance, when one of his Spanish study group, Annie, told him that they were really good friends, and then asked a favor, he did it without question because they were supposed to be friends. Even if that meant sitting in a room for 26 hours, he did it because she asked him to and said they were friends. His best friend is Troy, and the two are a bit like peas in a pod. They're really the only ones to get their jobs. They finish each other's sentences and the like. He listens. If people tell him to not be himself, he'll do it. Even if he thinks their reasoning is kind of dumb. In that way, he is very trustworthy and does pretty much whatever people ask.
Abed can predict people's behavior based on past behavior pretty well. Also? He can be pretty mean and pick out people's imperfections really easily. Not that he ever says it, except for that one time the girls wanted him to get back at some bitchy girls. He likes stereotypes and comes across as deadpan, showing rarely any emotion.
